After the accident you should immediately, as soon as possible, but not later than in 30 (thirty) days report the accident in written to Compensa.

Attention! In case of travel annulment you have to inform the insurer prior to the planned travel start date.


What documents are to be submitted in order to receive the indemnity?

  1. In case of the flight delay
    Filled-in claim application.
    Airline statement of the flight delay or cancellation.
    If you were moved to another flight, then a statement about the flight change and route should be submitted.
    Airline tickets.
    Receipts of additional expenses, which have occurred due to the flight delay/ cancellation.
     
  2. In case of the baggage delay
    Filled-in claim application.
    Airport statement of  the baggage delay/damage/loss and compensation payment if any
    Airline tickets and baggage claim checks.
    Cash receipts confirming the purchase of goods.
     
  3. In case of damage to the baggage
    Filled-in claim application.
    Airport statement of  the baggage delay/damage/loss and compensation payment if any.
    Airline tickets and baggage claim checks.
    A photo of the baggage bags/ suitcases (if it is impossible to take a photo, you can bring the damaged bag/ suitcase to Compensa).
    Statement from the repair service about the condition of the bag/ suitcase.
    If the bag  can not be repaired(and it is confirmed by the repair service), then the cash receipts for the purchase of  a similar bag/ suitcase.
     
  4. In case of the baggage loss
    Filled-in claim application.
    Airport statement of  the baggage delay/damage/loss and compensation payment if any.
    Airport statement of  the baggage delay.
    Airline tickets and baggage claim checks.
     
  5. In case of the travel cancellation
    Filled-in claim application.
    Statement from the travel agency about the planned travel specifying whether or not the travel company will compensate the costs.
    Documents confirming the validity of the travel cancellation reason (doctor's certificate of sudden illness, a medical certificate for the first degree relative's sudden illness, a police statement about a road traffic accident in which the insured person has got an injury, etc.).

Before leaving, make sure that you have all the necessary documents, the data provided in the insurance policy is correct and the electronic version of the policy is also stored on your phone. We also recommend supplementing your travel insurance with an EHIC card to ensure complete security during your travels.
