After an incident, you must immediately inform Compensa in writing about the accident and its circumstances, as soon as possible but no later than 3 business days, by completing the claim form available at www.compensa.lv.

After receiving your claim, a Compensa expert will contact you and, taking into account the circumstances and policy terms, will inform you about the next steps.
You can submit the documents in the way most convenient for you – by filling out the form on the Compensa website, sending documents by email to atlidzibas@compensa.lv, submitting the form in person at a customer service center, or sending the documents by post. All methods are accepted; the most important thing is to act as soon as possible after the insurance event occurs. This ensures that your claim is processed faster and the consequences are remedied more quickly.
Due to both geopolitical influences and rapid technological growth, solar panels have become an attractive solution in recent years to achieve energy independence and reduce rising energy costs.
In May 2024, in collaboration with the research agency “Norstat Latvia,” we conducted a study aimed at understanding residents’ habits regarding the installation and insurance of solar panels. The survey included 505 Latvian residents aged 20 to 75 living in private houses. The results showed that at the time of the study, solar panels were installed in nearly one in five private homes in Latvia (19%). However, 25% of respondents had no plans to insure them, missing out on the opportunity to receive financial support for property restoration in case of an incident.
