After an accident, inform Compensa as soon as possible, but no later than 3 working days.

If it is not possible to submit the claim via the portal, please call 8888 during the main office working hours.

Please provide the following along with your claim submission:

  • A floor plan or cadastral survey copy.
  • Property manager’s report on the cause of the incident, and a list of damaged items (in cases of damaged or stolen movable property – furniture, goods, etc.).
  • A copy of the land registry certificate.
What to do if an accident occurs?

  • If the damage was caused by fire or explosion, immediately call the State Fire and Rescue Service at 112 or 01.
  • If a theft, robbery, or attempted theft has occurred, immediately report it to the State Police at 112 or 02.
  • If there is a heating or sewage system failure, or water leakage, inform the emergency service or the building manager.
  • As soon as possible, but no later than 3 days after the incident, contact Compensa. You can do this by calling 8888 or by filling out the claim form at compensa.lv.
